Love that the medallion has quite a bit of weight to it. My recovering bf has always said how he loves when a medallion is heavy so he can "feel the weight of it in his hands" so he can really feel the significance of it. Very great quality piece and absolutely love the quotes on the back. Much better than just the typical serenity prayer. I wish I had found these sooner!

I thought the coin would be encased in glass. The plastic almost seems like seran wrap and fragile. I understand it's made to be taken out. I'm just concerned that if the case gets too hot, the plastic will melt. I guess only time will tell. The coin is very nice. It seems to be made well. I know my son will appreciate it. This is a great way to show him how very proud we are of him. I just wish a box came with it so I could wrap it as a gift.
